What a week!

It has been quite the week! I was in Des Moines Sunday-Monday and came home early (supposed to be there thru Wednesday) because of possible blizzard weather. Good thing I made it back to the farm Monday PM, because boy did we ever get a blizzard! 14-inches of snow on the farm and many times that we could barely see the outline of the barn! In fact there are 6-foot tall drifts in some places! Quite the way to start winter!

The girls got quite a kick out of watching Paul move snow in our new Oliver tractor. I wish you all could have heard Emilia's "ooohs" and "aahhhs".

Paul and I had school today - despite every other school being closed, thus Grace and Emilia were the only kids at daycare today. Grace got to play with the big (junior high and high school girls) today. She tells me that they baked cookies, played hair salon, Barbies and they even let Grace play Wii. Needless to say, she didn't take a nap. I carried a very whiny Grace into the house, set her in the chair while I let the dogs out and not one minute later, this is what I walked in to find - a snoring Gracie! It was an early to bed night!
