Sesame Street Live

We took a break from bailing water over the weekend to head up to Rochester. Nana treated all of us to Sesame Street Live: Elmo Makes Music. Josiah was very excited and watched mesmerized by the show. Grace got scared at first as it was too much too soon - they shut the lights off, turned on the music, characters came out and the kids behind us started screaming for Elmo's attention all within about 10 seconds. Paul took Grace out for a few minutes and when she came back she did just fine. She loved the show and danced to all of the songs. In fact, after the intermission, the Sesame Street gang sang and danced to "Dance to the music" originally by Sly and the Family Stone. Grace was standing on mommy's lap and was bopping and dancing. She slowed down and then slowly started to close her eyes, but then she woke up and started dancing again, then slowed down and started to close her eyes. This went on for a minute or so before she finally gave in and fell asleep during the last song of the show. Grace also learned to talk like Cookie Monster. Anytime you say the words, "Cookie Monster," Grace talks in a low grovely voice. Sesame Street Live was a fantastic time! THANK YOU NANA!
